On-Field Focus

What’s your proudest moment on the football field for Quakertown this season or in your career?

“Proudest moment I had in my high school career throwing my first Varsity td my freshman year.”

Describe a play where you made a game-changing impact. What was going through your mind?

“The last play of the  cheltenham game the qb scrammbled and started to run towards the endzone where we met at the goal line and I forced a fumble to end the game.”

What’s the toughest part of playing quarterback and defensive back, and how do you prepare for it?

“The toughest part of playing both positions is the overall conditioning I have to put myself through. Both of these positions require you to be 100% every play or things will go wrong.”

Which NFL player do you model your game after, and what do you admire about them?

“Josh Allen because of how hard he plays the game and how he does whatever it takes to win.”

What’s a drill or skill you’re grinding to perfect before the season?

“One skill I’ve been trying to master is change of direction and acceleration out of a break which is things I’ve always struggled with and direction correlates with db.”

Personal Story

How did you start playing football, and what keeps you passionate about it?

“I started playing football when I was around 5 in QMFA. The thing that keeps me going and passionate about football are the lifelong lessons football teaches you and the friendships that I will always have and continue to make.”

Who’s been your biggest supporter (e.g., coach, family, teammate) in your football journey?

“My dad has definitely been my biggest supporter he has coached ever since I was little and always pushed me do more then I thought I ever could. He’s always been there to tell me when I suck and is the first person to tell me when I’m doing good and what I can do to be better.”

What’s a challenge you’ve overcome—on the field or off—that’s made you a better player or person?

“A challenge that I’ve had to overcome is getting over the fear of failure. I used to be very timid and slow to get in drills because I wasn't completely sure on what I was doing but now that I’ve been around football for so long I know that failure is there to make you a better player and that you should embrace it and not be scared of it.”

“The suburban one league is a very competitive and filled with tons of talent. This is a big help when it comes to college and transferring over into college football environment.”

What’s your pre-game ritual or superstition to get in the zone?

“My pre game is pretty simple I usually just sit by myself and have some skittles and Mountain Dew.”

What’s the one song on your pre-game playlist that fires you up, and why?

“I’m not a big rap guy when it comes to pre game music so I’ll listen to some Dumb by Nirvana to keep me calm and ready to play.”

What’s your nickname in the locker room, and how’d you earn it?

“I don’t have a real nickname but most people call me Bmart just because my sophmore teammates just started calling me that and it just stuck.”

If you could take one teammate’s skill for a game, whose would you pick and why?

“I would take Kyler roeseners motor and technique while he’s tackling because even with him not being the biggest guy it’s very rare you see him miss a tackle or get out workered.”

Future and Goals

What’s your biggest goal for this season with Quakertown?

“My biggest goal for the team is to win the championship and have a home playoff game.”

Are you eyeing college football? What’s your dream school or program to play for?

“I am looking to play college football. My dream school would be to play for Michigan being that they are my favorite college team.”

Where do you see yourself in football or life five years from now?

“In 5 years I will hopefully be having a very successful job and hopefully still playing football at a high level where ever that might be.”

Team and League Pride

What makes playing for Quakertown in the Suburban One League special to you?

“The people. In my opinion quakertown is the best when it comes to the community. They fill the stands, cheer us on, and congratulate you after the wins. But they also tell you when you need to step it up which is always good to hear from people cause that means they care.”

Who’s an under-the-radar teammate who deserves more shine, and why?

“Owen Richwine he is an o linemen and a defence end who is one of the strongest in the weight room and shows up to everything. He will always push himself which in turn pushes everyone around him.”

What’s the loudest or most memorable crowd moment you’ve experienced in a game?

“The loudest I’ve ever heard a stadium is when we walked off souderton on the last play of the game after being down 28-0. The student section jumped over the fence and met us to celebrate and it felt like there were people cheering everywhere.”
