Our 2024-25 season came and went. We saw The Titans of C.B. South win the National Conference, and Plymouth Whitemarsh continued its dominance in the American Conference with its fourth consecutive undefeated run. At the same time, Quakertown, Souderton, & Upper Dublin split the Continental Conference after each team went 6-1 in conference play. These awards have been given to those we believe earned it or led statistically in a specific category. Congratulations to all those receiving honors.
Team of the Year
C.B. South Titans went 10-0 in the regular season and won 2 playoff games before exiting in the district semifinals. The Titans finished the year 12-1 overall while averaging 31.2 points per game, 332 yards per game, and scored 55 touchdowns. The defense yielded a measly 7.6 points per game. The team also had 7 players voted 1sr Team All-League, 5 players voted 2nd Team All League, and 4 players received honorable mention honors. Head coach Tom Hetrick and Company are 25-3 over the last two seasons.
Coach Of the Year
In 2024-25 head coach Dick Beck rebounded after an uncharacteristically down 2023-24 season in which his Knights went 6-5 to go 11-3 this season with two playoff victories. Beck and Company ended C.B. South's undefeated season in the district semifinals 21-19. Beck was also selected to coach the East Team of the Navy All-American game this past January. Congratulations coach. Beck will enter his 24th season at the helm with some momentum. Look out Suburban One League!
Offensive Player of the Year
Senior Quarterback Owen Pinkerton is SOi's Player of the Year after combining for 2,522 yards and 29 touchdowns. Owen was selected to the SOL-National 1st Team All-League.
Defensive Player of the Year
Senior Linebacker Walker Murray led the League in total tackles with 120 and tackles for loss (tfl) with 25. The backer also had four sacks and an interception. Walker has committed to play football in the fall at Villanova.
Lineman of the Year
Senior Nick Micewski was a two way lineman that flat out dominated on both sides of the ball. Nick was part of an offense that averaged 31.2 points per game, 332- yards per game and scored 55 touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball Nick's defense yielded only 7.6 points per game. Individually he had 42 total tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. The two way lineman was also voted 1st Team All-League for the SOL-National on both sides of the ball. Nick has committed to play football at West Chester in the fall.
Golden Arm- Most Passing Yards
Sophomore Quarterback Kendall Jackson led all passers this past season with 2,119 yards. He also threw for 15 touchdowns. The dual-threat QB was a team captain and broke multiple school records during his first season as QB1. He currently holds interest from Syracuse, Penn State, Temple, Pitt, Monmouth, Old Dominion, & UMASS.
Lawn Boy- Most Rushing Yards
Senior Ryan Clemens is a Swiss-Army knife and did it all for the Bucks on both sides of the ball & special teams. Clemens led the league in rushing with 1,515 yards. Ryan also rushed for 13 touchdowns. He has committed to play football at Washington & Lee University in the fall.
Sack Sultan- Most Sacks
Eddie Bowen is the league sack leader after compiling 12 in his senior season. Eddie was second in the league in tackles for loss with 18.5. The defensive unit he was on yielded only 7.6 points per game and gave up 99 points in thirteen games. Bowen also represented the Suburban One when he was selected to play in the BIG33 game. In the fall, Eddie will head to Marist University where he will play football.
Sky Admiral- Most Receiving Yards
Senior Aiden Burgy led all pass catchers in the league with 925 yards as well as receiving touchdowns with 15. The big-bodied receiver (6'4" 198 lbs) will head to Army West Point in the fall to play football.
Turf Terror- Most Total Tackles
Senior Linebacker Walker Murray led the League in total tackles with 120 and tackles for loss (tfl) with 25. The backer also had four sacks and an interception. The past two seasons the sideline-sideline tackler amassed 222 total tackles. Walker has committed to play football in the fall at Villanova.
Ball Hawk- Most Interceptions
As we would love to have it in every category, four players tied for the lead in interceptions so they will split the award. Each player had four (4) interceptions. Our first player is Junior linebacker Sean Alston of Cheltenham, second is Senior Corner Matt Harmon of C.B. South, third is Neshaminy's Junior FS Nick Sassano, and finally we have Junior DB from Quakertown Brady Martin.
Specialist of the Year
Senior K/P Ryan Bocklet out of North Penn was our Specialist of the Year after making 12 field goals with along of 49. Bocklet also averaged 383.8 yards per punt on 31 punts this past season. Bocklet has committed to play football at Sacred Heart University in the Fall.
