What’s your proudest moment on the football field, this season or in your career?
Sophomore season I started at Free Safety and in one game I had an interception, multiple pass break ups, and 7 tackles.
Describe a play where you made a game-changing impact. What was going through your mind?
The Tight End caught it over the middle and I ran right through him. In my mind I was mentally thinking im a dog, but physically I was thinking about the next play.
What’s the toughest part of playing the position (s) you play, and how do you prepare for each?
Which NFL player do you model your game after, and what do you admire about them?
For wide receiver i’ve always watched and learned from Stefon Diggs, and for Safety I’ve learned from Kyle Hamilton and Cooper DeJean.
What’s a drill or skill you’re grinding to perfect before the season?
Wide Receiver box drill, and Defensive Angle Pursuit drills. Skills are coordination, route running, and discipline.
How did you start playing football, and what keeps you passionate about it?
I started playing football when I was 6 years old when I was introduced to it at my Elementary School. What keeps me passionate is my love for the game and my competitive nature.
Who’s been your biggest supporter (e.g., coach, family, teammate) in your football journey?
My parents for always preparing me and helping me achieve the things i need to do well for the season, my teammates for believing in me and hyping me up, and my coaches for making me put the work in to be a better athlete day by day.
What’s a challenge you’ve overcome—on the field or off—that’s made you a better player or person?
My whole life i’ve always been on losing football teams. I’ve always thought about quitting because I constantly blame myself and put down my confidence as an athlete. But I continue to work for what I want and try to be the best I can be to prove that being on a losing team doesn’t make you a bad player.
How does playing in the Suburban One League shape your experience as a high school athlete?
The competition will make you want to better yourself in order to stay in the fight. Having to play the best of the best in Suburban 1 football makes you realize that you really have to want it. If you don’t want it you will not succeed in this league.
What’s the one song on your pre-game playlist that fires you up, and why?
Faneto - Chief Keef No Flockin / Skrilla - Kodak Black The playlist is very long and there are many other songs I could pick but my whole life i’ve listened to these songs pre-game and Ive always gotten good feelings going into each game.
What’s your nickname in the locker room, and how’d you earn it?
Lukey, Luke, Jordan, Turkey, etc. My name in different ways and because i am always getting hurt
If you could take one teammate’s skill for a game, whose would you pick and why?
I would take my Teammate Caleb Smith’s agility and speed. He is very fast and shifty when running around defenders.
What’s your biggest goal for this season with your team?
A singular touchdown every game as a wide Receiver.
Are you eyeing college football? What’s your dream school or program to play for?
Yes I would love to play college football. My dream schools or programs are any Southern or Midwest Universities. Universities in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and Texas.
Where do you see yourself in football or life five years from now?
In a college campus prepping for my football season.

Caleb Smith, our quarterback.
What’s the loudest or most memorable crowd moment you’ve experienced in a game?
When Ayden Turner caught a kickoff and ran 104 yards to score in a big game last season.
