What’s your proudest moment on the football field, this season or in your career?
This past season during my first ever varsity football game against Downingtown East I had a forced fumble 70 yard scoop and score touchdown.
Describe a play where you made a game-changing impact. What was going through your mind?
The first defensive drive of our cb west game I had a 4 yard TFL for a stop. I set the standard on defense for that game just though the one play.
What’s the toughest part of playing the position (s) you play, and how do you prepare for each?
Mental toughness, both positions that I play require you to play with grit and the knowledge that pushing your body to the limit of its capabilities.
Which NFL player do you model your game after, and what do you admire about them?
Zach Baun, we signed him at the beginning of my high school career and its been a joy to see him grow and play with the eagles while I'm doing the same at North Penn. His on the field intelligence is outstanding along with him being a a dominant force in the run game makes it easy for me to look up to him.
What’s a drill or skill you’re grinding to perfect before the season?
Lateral speed and agility, being a linebacker I have to be where the ball is all the time every play no matter where it is. Pursuing perfection in my speed and agility will only lead to great things.
How did you start playing football, and what keeps you passionate about it?
My dad was a football player, so I grew up in a household where I knew it was inevitable that I start also. What keeps me passionate about football is that it made who I am today, I owe everything to this game.
Who’s been your biggest supporter (e.g., coach, family, teammate) in your football journey?
My parents have been my biggest supporters throughout my football journey. They've been there for me every step of the way and I couldn't be more thankful for them.
What’s a challenge you’ve overcome—on the field or off—that’s made you a better player or person?
I struggled with confidence when I was younger, it affected every aspect of my life including the game that I love playing. Once I learned to overcome it, I flourished and became the person I am today.
How does playing in the Suburban One League shape your experience as a high school athlete?
Knowing that I play is the highest level of high school football in Pennsylvania makes me feel pride in my capabilities and what my team and I have accomplished.
What’s the one song on your pre-game playlist that fires you up, and why?
Pearls by Sade, It may not be a traditional hype up song but when I put my headphones on and I'm able to dial in my mind to what I need to do to succeed, I cant get more hype.
What’s your nickname in the locker room, and how’d you earn it?
My teammates call me Grug, Grug is a caveman from the movie croods, they call me grug because I bring it every single rep like I was a caveman.
If you could take one teammate’s skill for a game, whose would you pick and why?
My teammate Rylei Gray's speed, quickest person Ive ever met. I desire to get to a play as fast as he can run to an endzone.
What’s your biggest goal for this season with your team?
Take my team back to the district championship and win again.
Are you eyeing college football? What’s your dream school or program to play for?
Yes, I think its anyone's dream that grew up in Pa to play for the Nittany Lions.
Where do you see yourself in football or life five years from now?
Either I plan on playing football in college at the division 1 level or servicing our country in the Navy.
Who’s an under-the-radar teammate who deserves more shine, and why?
Tycho bueters, his season was unfortunately cut short by injury but during the time he was with his the speed and power he brought to our defensive line was extraordinary.
What’s the loudest or most memorable crowd moment you’ve experienced in a game?
When we won the district champion last year, no feeling can compare to that.
