Doylestown, PA – The Central Bucks West Bucks closed out their regular season with a bang, taking down cross-town rival Central Bucks East 28-21 for their eighth consecutive win in the rivalry, securing the coveted CB Cup. Not a bad night’s work! The victory locked in a top-10 seed in the 6A playoffs—likely the 6th seed, though it’s not official yet—ensuring at least one home playoff game. The Bucks wrap the regular season at 7-3 overall, tying North Penn and Neshaminy for second in the National Conference with a 5-2 record. Total team effort!
Junior standout Louie Cipollo was the star of the show, dominating on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he tore through the Patriots’ defense for over 200 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, he was a lockdown corner, capping his career-best performance with a game-sealing interception in the final minute. Head coach Rob Rowan was all praise: “He’s a football player. We put him in spots where we know he’ll succeed, and man, did he show up today. Best game of his year, no doubt, on both sides of the ball.” Cipollo soaked in the electric atmosphere post-game. “It feels great,” he said. “Amazing environment, all the fans showing love. It was a huge bounce-back win after last week. The team played together, made some great blocks, and the line opened up big holes.”
The game was a thriller from the start. The Patriots (5-5, 2-5) drew first blood with 4:22 left in the first quarter when quarterback Hunter Pulford powered in from a yard out, making it 7-0 after the PAT. The Bucks fired back fast, with quarterback Joshua George hitting Mason Darrows for a 45-yard touchdown strike with 2:32 to go in the first, tying it at 7-7. Cipollo kept the momentum rolling, scampering 11 yards for a score with 1:12 left in the quarter, giving West a 14-7 lead after the PAT.
The second quarter was just as intense. Pulford tied the game at 14-14 with a 5-yard touchdown run with 5:25 until halftime. But the Bucks had an answer. Nick Miletto powered through a would-be tackler for a touchdown with 1:52 left in the half, putting West back on top 21-14 after the PAT. That score held at the break.
The third quarter was a defensive chess match with no points scored. Then, with 27 seconds left in the third, Pulford connected with Reuben Bell Jr. for a 15-yard touchdown pass, knotting the game at 21-21. The fourth quarter brought the drama. With 4:03 to go, Cipollo took a direct snap and raced 43 yards untouched to the endzone, giving West a 28-21 lead after the PAT. Game over? Not yet.
The Patriots capitalized on a penalty and marched down the field, looking to tie or take the lead. With under a minute left, Pulford took a shot to Cole Wojnicki, but Cipollo had other ideas. He swooped in, snagged the interception, and crushed East’s comeback hopes—and their playoff dreams. The Bucks’ offense took the field, lined up in victory formation, and ran out the clock to seal the deal.
CDS Wealth’s Player of the Game honors went to Cipollo, Darrows, and Miletto. Cipollo’s 200+ rushing yards, two touchdowns, and clutch interception were undeniable. Darrows hauled in a touchdown pass and was perfect on PATs, while Miletto anchored a stout defense and added two rushing scores of his own.

What’s Next: Central Bucks West awaits its official opponent, but it’s looking like 5x (Consecutively) American Conference Champions Plymouth Whitemarsh who currently hold the final 6A spot. Central Bucks East’s finishes the season 5-5 overall and 2-5 in the National Conference
