Doylestown- C.B. West entered Friday’s contest looking to extend its winning streak to 3 games after dropping its opener to Easton Area. They achieved that and more. The Bucks dominated from start to finish. They started with a quick 7 points about 4 minutes into the first quarter, and never took their foot off the gas.
They scored another touchdown 3 minutes later to make the score 14-0. This time, though, the Ghosts were quick to respond. Abington put 7 on the board on a 70-yard touchdown to Week 2 CDS WEALTH Player of the Game Ayden Turner.
However, West scored right after this to maintain its two-score lead. After another touchdown and an interception by Jack Wilson, the Bucks would score their 5th touchdown of the game, making the score 36-7 at halftime. A fairly uneventful third quarter would end with some fireworks, after Bucks linebacker Gavin Todd ran back a fumbled snap for a scoop and score touchdown to make the score 43-7 CB West.
Abington would finally answer with a long touchdown run and a 2-PT conversion, but it was far too late. Friday’s week 4 contest would end with a 43-15 CB West win. I was unable to reach Coach Rowan over the weekend, but spoke with this week's CDS WEALTH Player Of The Game, running back and linebacker Nick Miletto, on the win.
Me: What worked on offense for your team?
Nick: Offensively, our linemen executed very well this game, and when they get the other backs and me to the 2nd and 3rd level, we make plays. Our receivers also played great, finding ways to get open so our quarterback can complete passes.
Me: What worked on defense for your team?
Nick: Defensively, we are very good in the run defense, hardly letting up any rushing yards after week 1. We still need to work on our pass defense a little more so we can stop the big plays from converting.
Me:Do you have a pregame tradition?
Nick:A pregame tradition most of the guys on our team have is taking a moment to thank our lord and savior for giving us the opportunity to compete and also asking to watch over us and help keep us healthy.

I also caught up with Abington head coach Bruce Fleming to find out how the Ghosts could bounce back from the loss. This is what the coach Fleming had to say.
Me:What do you think the primary reason for the loss was?
Coach Fleming: Attention to detail and doing the small things well consistently is what we are trying to develop. The more we work at it, the better we will become.
Me: How can the offense bounce back?
Coach Fleming: Consistency is going to be a recurring theme here. On offense it starts upfront. Once we find a consistent group, things will improve.
Me: How can the defense bounce back?
Coach Fleming:Alignment, assignment is what we need to improve. Defense is all about being aligned right and executing the assignment. We have to get consistent with these two areas and we will be going in the right direction.
