SOi’s Team Preview: Pennridge Rams

Coaches Corner

How would you summarize your team's performance in the 2024 season?

Our season in 2024 was truly a tale of two halves. After a rough season opener, things began to get going for us and we were 4-2 heading into the back end of the schedule/month of October. Even though many things the 2nd half of the season didn't go our way, we still had a chance to make the district playoffs heading into the last couple weeks. We didn't take care of business and let that chance slip away. We look to be more consistent as a team overall in 2025.”

What's this team's biggest strength?

“Our seniors that have been starting since they were sophomores should be one of our biggest strengths this season.”

What's this team's potential weakness or challenge they could face?

“Staying healthy through a grueling SOL national conference schedule.”

Team Tradition(s) to highlight here:

“We have one of the few Thanksgiving Day rivalries in the state of Pennsylvania that is still played every year. When we meet Quakertown on Thanksgiving Day this season, it will be for the 96th time.”

Expectations when the team is on offense?

Noah Keating starts his 3rd full season as our starting QB and 4th season starting overall (started 6 games as a 9th grader in 2022). Ryan Rowe and William Dougherty will lead our running attack with several 1st time varsity players on offense. In the pass game, our RBs will be involved along with several other capable targets, including returners Chase Clontz (at WR) and Jackson Gregoire (at TE). We look to be more consistent as an offense overall in 2025.“

Expectations when the team is on defense?

“Ryan Rowe and Brody Blomgren will lead our LB group, Tommy Ginnetti and Jackson Gregoire will lead our secondary group as well. We will look to several 1st time varsity players on defense to fill in at key spots on all 3 levels.”

What game(s) are the biggest on the schedule, and why?

1) Game #1 away at Bethlehem Liberty 8/22/25- We'll look for a better result vs Liberty than when they came to us to kick off last season

2) Every game on our SOL National Conference is a big one as it's one of the best and most competitive leagues in the state of PA!

3) Thanksgiving home vs Quakertown- meeting for the 96th time

What's a bold prediction for the team or any specific player(s)?

“We have several players on our team that have the potential to be 1st team all league, etc at their respective positions on Offense/Defense.”
