On-Field Focus

What’s your proudest moment on the football field for North Penn this season or in your career?

“This past year after losing to CB South in the regular season we met them again in the playoffs and came out on top that game and won 21-19.”

Describe a play where you made a game-changing impact. What was going through your mind?

“One of our playoffs games vs Haverford - It was a run up the middle and I had a nice down field block to seal the game away.”

What’s the toughest part of playing OL/DE,  and how do you prepare for it?

“Definitely the physical toll that playing on the line takes on your body. Every play you are going at it your hardest, always in contact with another player every down.”

Which NFL player do you model your game after, and what do you admire about them?

“Growing up it was never a NFL player but it was my brother. He introduced me to football and always coached me up.”

What’s a drill or skill you’re grinding to perfect before the season?

“I’ve been working the hardest on my skills defensively. Especially my pass rush moves, so I can win more PRs this season give the back 7 some relief.”

Personal Story

How did you start playing football, and what keeps you passionate about it?

“My family has always been a football family from since I was born. My older brother played it and loved it. So I was always around it growing up snd wanted to get in pads as soon as I could. Started playing tackle football  in 2nd grade and loved it ever since.”

Who’s been your biggest supporter (e.g., coach, family, teammate) in your football journey?

“My biggest supporter has 100% been my family. My parents and brother help me with every step of the way from finding training to making me food after rough practices and even helping me study film and get better.”

What’s a challenge you’ve overcome—on the field or off—that’s made you a better player or person?

“My biggest challenge came this year after week 3 when I had a position switch from TE and Offensive Tackle. This took a lot of perseverance, extra time on the field and having watching film to relearn my plays and perfect them the best I could. This made me a better player because it showed me things can be challenging but you gotta get through snd it will work out in the end.”

How does playing in the Suburban One League shape your experience as a high school athlete?

“The Suburban One League is definitely the biggest the most competitive league around. It has showed me that you have to be one of the top and most disciplined teams to have a real shot in winning the league.”

Football Flair

What’s your pre-game ritual or superstition to get in the zone?

“My pre-game ritual starts the moment I go to bed. Having all my clothes layed out and ready for game day. I get through the school day and we stay there as a team. Go through our pre game routine as a team. And I always make sure I text my brother about the game before I have to put my phone away before game time.”

What’s the one song on your pre-game playlist that fires you up, and why?

“I gotta go with any of the OT7 quanny songs.”

What’s your nickname in the locker room, and how’d you earn it?

“Coming from an Italian family, one day Coach Beck called me Giuseppe and everyone loved and it just stuck from then on.”

If you could take one teammate’s skill for a game, whose would you pick and why?

“I would definitely take our QB Matt Bucksars speed. Yes he is a quarter back with a ln amazing arm but man is he fast.”
