On-Field Focus

What’s your proudest moment on the football field for Upper Dublin this season or in your career?

“My proudest moment of my career so far is being able to play varsity football all 4 years of my career. It's really helped increase my production every year and molded me into the player I am today.”

Describe a play where you made a game-changing impact. What was going through your mind?

“A game changing impact I made this year was the final drive against Quakertown. We had choked a huge lead against them and every single time we hit the field I thought to myself, there's no way we were about to lose. It was I believe third down and needed a big play. Our quarterback checked to a play that I pulled and I was able to pancake their defensive end which created a huge hole. Our running back Ronald Shepard ran basically the whole field which eventually helped us win.”

What’s the toughest part of playing both sides of the line, and how do you prepare for it?

“I would say the toughest part of the playing line both ways would probably be the conditioning and the mental toughness to not let down any plays. I prepare for it by being in the best shape possible week 1 and studying film as much as possible.”

Which NFL player do you model your game after, and what do you admire about them?

“I admire Myles Garrett and Will Anderson for their aggression and never taking a play off.

I've been working  on my hands and speed this season so I become even harder to block.

I had to beg my mom to let me play football when I was younger. I stay passionate about it because I believe I can use my talents to help pay for college.”

What’s a drill or skill you’re grinding to perfect before the season?

Personal Story

How did you start playing football, and what keeps you passionate about it?

Who’s been your biggest supporter (e.g., coach, family, teammate) in your football journey?

“My biggest supporter is definitely my little sister.”

What’s a challenge you’ve overcome—on the field or off—that’s made you a better player or person?

“One challenge I've overcome was after my sophomore season when I was working at my job I got hit by a car. It was a very close situation that could have resulted in the worst but likely that's not what happened. I feel like that experience helped me cherish life and care about things more.”

How does playing in the Suburban One League shape your experience as a high school athlete?

“I feel like playing in suburban one creates a competitive environment and helps me be able to bring out my best, especially against teams I don't really like.”

Football Flair

What’s your pre-game ritual or superstition to get in the zone?

“I don't really have a pregame ritual other than texting my mom for a bit before the game and eating.”

What’s the one song on your pre-game playlist that fires you up, and why?

“Like the ritual I don't ever really listen to music either but if I had to choose one it would be “Every Chance I Get.” because I like to listen to songs that have good flows.”

What’s your nickname in the locker room, and how’d you earn it?

“One nickname I got in the locker room was ''The Greatest''. I got the nickname from my friends and some people on the team and to be honest it's kinda corny but it stuck I guess.”

If you could take one teammate’s skill for a game, whose would you pick and why?

Future and Goals

What’s your biggest goal for this season with Upper Dublin?

“My biggest goal this year is to win it all and hopefully make all state.”

Are you eyeing college football? What’s your dream school or program to play for?

“I am gonna try and play college football. In terms of playing somewhere my dream is to just play in front of thousands of fans and feel the college atmosphere.”

Where do you see yourself in football or life five years from now?

“To be honest I don't really know where I see myself five years from now but hopefully I figured out what I wanna do by then and just be successful.”

Team and League Pride

What makes playing for Upper Dublin in the Suburban One League special to you?

“I think playing for Upper Dublin is special to me because I've basically lived here all my life and was able to grow up with people surrounded by me on the team.”

Who’s an under-the-radar teammate who deserves more shine, and why?

“An underrated teammate who deserves more shine would probably be Kevin Williams. He played most in the second half of the year and I really feel like he's gonna be one of our stars for this upcoming season just by how much of an impact he had in most of our games.”

What’s the loudest or most memorable crowd moment you’ve experienced in a game?

“I'd say the most memorable crowd moments I've had is whenever we are the away team and first walking onto the field we are booed. It makes me wanna play that much harder and gets me fired up before the game even begins.”
