Southeastern, PA- The 2025 regular flag football season concluded this past week with three champions crowned. Out of the SOL-National Conference, the newly formed Pennsbury Lady Falcons under first-year head coach Frank Sciolla finished 5-0 in conference play and 8-2 overall. Third-year Head Coach Kevin Zebluim and his North Penn Lady Knights finished an unblemished 6-0 in Continental Conference play while also going 11-0 overall. 2023 State Champion and 3x SOL-American champ Abington Lady Ghosts march into the playoffs on an undefeated (10-0) hot streak and are looking to make a deep run under third-year Head Coach Melissa Brizzell.
There are some interesting matchups in round one. Our first matchup pits #4 Pennridge against #3 Truman. The winner will take on #1 North Penn. Our second matchup has #4 C.R. North headed to take on #3 Souderton. The winner will play the #2-seeded Plymouth-Whitemarsh Lady Colonials out of the American. Our third matchup of the week has #3 Wissahickon headed to #2 C.B. East to take on the Lady Patriots. The winner has a tough test against a stellar Pennsbury squad, in their first year of existence, yet ranked #2. Our final first-round matchup has a ferocious Lady Panther team from William Tennent, which is ranked #4, headed to #2-ranked Neshaminy. The winner has a hard task next as they will face the heavily favored Abington Lady Ghosts, the #1 ranked team in the playoffs. Stay tuned for updates and more as the playoffs unfold.
